Service Call tips & types of calls:
No Power to outlets: Tell customer to reset all circuit breakers & GFCI if its kitchen or bath
Smoke detector beeping: You need to find out if its a system/security smoke or 120V smoke
if its a security smoke detector you need to put the account on test and remove smoke to service or you will trigger a tamper alarm and fire dept will show up.
If 120V Smoke you need to check all the smoke detectors only one will be flashing a red light that is the one causing the rest of them to go off!!
If smoke detectors all go off in the middle of the night between 12am-5am this is due to the power company transferring power between stations. They do this at night, and when a 120V smoke detector sees a sudden drop in power it makes them crazy. (you can explain this to the customer but you still have to find the red blinking one first to stop the rest from beeping)
Security system beeping: To silence 2GIG press yellow button on screen, for DSC press*2 (tell customer that tech support in the morning can assist further
