This policy applies to all M.E personal technician,& apprentices.
What is upselling?
Up selling is when you are at a customers home or business and you look for a opportunity to sell something that was outside of your original reason for being there. When that occurs it’s considered an Upsell. You will have to be aware and observant of your surroundings so that you see these opportunities. Keep your eyes open all the time you working on the original reason for your visit. Unit pricing will be key for you to perform this you will have at your fingertips almost every single thing that M.E has to offer.
For example:
Your at a job and your installing something during your regular visit and your working next to a smoke detector and you pull it down and realize it’s out dated. You then tell the customer excuse me Mrs Smith I would like to mention that I noticed that your smoke detectors are all past the manufacturer and state requirements. I would like to give you a cost to replace them. She agrees and commits to the work we Perform the work collect the money and you have now made a successful Upsell. It does not have to stop at just one thing if you see other issues the customer will want you to point them out don’t feel bad about it . The customer called us because we are a professional company and trusts that if we make a suggestion or recommendations that they are because it’s true and a necessity we would never tell them something which is NOT true or required. I want This to be absolutely clear that I don’t want us to just make things up.
What’s true about most homes and buildings is that there is always some kind of repair or issue or code update. We just need to point those out.
Examples of up selling:
Led trims
Dimmers
Led flood lighting
Timers
Adding lighting
Motion light
Electric heat
Security system
Fire alarm system
GSM monitoring
Camera system
Tv installation
Universal remote
NuVo
A whole home Theater system
And the list goes on you should look at all the unit pricing item codes to get familiar with all the M.E does
What is New Business/Introduction:
New business is if you or anyone in the company brings In a new customer which had nothing to do with our existing marketing or advertising. This is a new lead which never knew M.E.
Example:
Your at a family event or get together and your talking to someone and they say we’re going to be renovating our house you then say hey why don’t you call the company I work for and have us give an estimate. You let the office know about it and when that appointment is made and he work is completed you will get compensation for that new opportunity.
Compensation on up selling and new business.
Rules:
2% Upsell or any service call that is written
4% New business/stranger
Payments made on bi-weekly payroll
If the job is not profitable there is no incentive payment.
If you do not collect money there’s No payment incentive you must collect if possible
If job is Not closed or invoiced at all and the office has to bill there is no incentive.
If you make it a habit of not invoicing and collecting there will be no incentive for you for that whole month
Upsell:
For every single thing you Upsell to a customer which was not part of your original visit for being there you get. 2% of the total sale after the work is completed and money is collected. Wether or not you perform the Upsell you would still get credit for this. If an estimate is provided for an Upsell and the customer decides to Do the work at a later time days months Etc. Titan will always store this info and when the work is completed you would still get credit for this Upsell.
Example:
You could potentially easily perform and sell thousands of dollars a week . That upselling incentive is on top of your regular pay. That literally would be raise every week in your control. You could potentially upsell a customer a camera system or home home theater system which could be $4000 and up you would then get 2% of that which would be $80 for just that one week on top of regular pay. The sky is the limit. You have such a unique opportunity to make extra money just by simply being aware of your surroundings at a building or customers home.
Note: payment for this is after all work is completed and money’s collected
